FORMER ITALIAN STRIKER Fabrizio Ravanelli has taken over at French Ligue Un side AC Ajaccio, the club has announced today.

The 44-year-old, who won two European Cups titles with Juventus before moving to Middlesbrough, has agreed a two-year deal with the club. Ajaccio finished just outside the relegation zone 17th in the table and sacked their manager Albert Emon at the end of the season.

Ravanelli has been coaching in Juventus’ academy but will now get to pit himself against mega rich clubs Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco.
