MLS teen star celebrates goal... with a four-gun musket salute

Diego Fagundez makes the shortlist for celebration of the year.

DIEGO FAGUNDEZ FOUND a unique way to celebrate the end of his New England Revolution goal drought.

The Uruguyan teen vaulted the pitchside hoardings and ran to join the Revs’ traditional musket brigade as they fired off a four-gun salute for the goal.

It was the first goal in 14 games for 19-year-old Fagundez, helping New England to a 2-1 win over the Chicago Fire.
