THE NEWEST ADDITION to EA Sports’ FIFA series is scheduled for release in the UK and Ireland on the 24 September, and the official Twitter page have been gearing up for the launch by revealing the top 50 players in the ratings.
Unsurprisingly, some of these ratings are causing quite a bit of debate. The man many describe as the greatest footballer of all-time, Lionel Messi, is once again the highest rated player on the game. Messi has a rating of 94 out of 100, a one-point upgrade on his stats in FIFA 15.
Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo is a close second with a rating of 93 and Luis Suarez rounds out the top three with a rating of 90. There are three new arrivals in the top 10, with Manchester City’s David Silva, PSG defender Thiago Silva and Champions League winner Neymar receiving a ratings boost.
But there is no place for the world’s most expensive player, Gareth Bale, in a top 20 that includes Premier League midfielders Mezut Ozil and Cesc Fabregas.
Here’s the top 10 players in full, with the top 50 available here:
10. David Silva – 88
9. Thiago Silva – 88
8. Neymar Jnr – 88
7. Zlatan Ibrahimovic – 89
6. Eden Hazard – 89
5. Arjen Robben – 90
4. Manuel Neuer – 90
3. Luis Suarez – 90
2. Cristiano Ronaldo – 93
1. Lionel Messi – 94
Do you think Bale deserved a place in the top 20?
