#GUILTY Entertainer and artist Rolf Harris has been found guilty in London on 12 counts of indecent assault. The 84-year-old was convicted of the attacks against four girls between the years 1968 and 1986.

#TRAGIC A five-year-old boy has died after falling into a lake in west Dublin. It happened at Belgree Lawns in Tyrrelstown at 9.30am this morning. Gardaí are not treating it as suspicious.

#MURDER RATE There were 16 more murders in the 12 months up to the end of March this year, compared to the previous 12 month period — according to new crime stats out today. The CSO figures show that kidnapping offences also rose, with 119 recorded.

#LUCKY ESCAPE An Irish woman living in New York walked away with little more than a broken shoulder — despite three trains rolling over her after she fell onto the subway tracks. It happened at around 6am yesterday.
