French media declare Brian O'Driscoll is 'dreaming of a winning farewell'

Midi Olympique believe a loss in Dublin may condemn France to the wooden spoon.

IRELAND HAVE DEFEATED France twice in their last 15 matches yet Mid Olympique believes supporters of Les Bleus should cross their fingers for victory tomorrow.

The French rugby newspaper leads today with a picture of Morgan Parra and the headline ‘Touching wood’.

France, it declares, need to beat Ireland at Lansdowne Road tomorrow to avoid their first wooden spoon since 1957.

An inset picture of Brian O’Driscoll states the Irish centre is dreaming ‘of a winning farewell’. In an interview before the Six Nations opener against Wales, O’Driscoll confessed that he may soon retire from international rugby.
