On The Record

– FAI chief executive John Delaney had his fingers tightly crossed ahead of today’s Euro 2020 announcement.

Where we were today

Yes sir, they can boogie! Ireland’s favourite dancing pundits John Giles and Eamon Dunphy called into TheScore.ie HQ this afternoon to answer some of your questions and play a bit of office foosball.

Keep an eye out for the video evidence over the next few days!

The best thing we shared

Has that always been there? Ahead of Sunday’s All-Ireland football final, one prominent Irish bookmaker erected a 12-foot statue of Donegal boss Jim McGuinness on Jones’ Road.

The Fixture List

Murray Kinsella is in the Sportsground for us where Connacht host Leinster in the Guinness Pro12 (7.35pm). Elsewhere Munster take on Zebra (7.30pm) and Ulster travel to Cardiff (7.35pm).

There’s a reduced programme in the Airtricity League Premier Division with just two games this evening — Athlone Town host Bohemians while St Pat’s travel to the Carlisle Grounds to face Bray.

On Saturday we’ve got six Premier League games to look forward to, with West Ham v Liverpool as the tea-time kick-off, while there’s a whole slate of GAA club football and hurling action.

Oh, and there’s that little matter of the All-Ireland football final on Sunday…
