The 2017 GAA pre-season heats up with 44 games taking place across the country

Munster rivals Cork and Kerry clash in one of the week’s standout ties.

THE GAA’S PRE-SEASON is well underway as we enter the second weekend of inter-county action in 2017.

Wednesday brings a full spate of games across Leinster, in the O’Byrne Cup and Walsh Cup, and Munster, where we’ll have contests in the McGrath Cup and Dr Harty Cup .

On Thursday night, the Galway hurlers face NUI Galway in Group 1 of the Walsh Cup, while Meath and Tyrone are among the football sides who’ll take the field on Saturday.

On Sunday we’ve got games across all four provinces with Cork and Kerry meeting in what should be an entertaining McGrath Cup clash.
