If you’re meeting Waterford hurler Noel Connors, make sure you’re on time and leave plenty of space for Mayo’s Cillian O’Connor if he needs to park.

McMahon hates “people leaving my gym in a mess” and Bergin said: “I know she doesn’t do it intentionally but my girlfriend, when she wants to be interested in hurling and all that, keeps asking questions like she thinks they’re quite normal but she always seems to do it coming up to a game.

“I know she’s got my best interests at heart but I’d love if she didn’t!”
