BRIAN O’DRISCOLL HAS made no secret of his passion for the Dublin side while Gavin Duffy is far from the only player to gain experience playing both rugby and GAA to a high level.
Mick Galwey, Rob Kearney and Simon Zebo among other acclaimed stars all dabbled in GAA, before establishing themselves in the world of rugby.

1. Gavin Duffy
Duffy played for Mayo at minor level and it’s just been confirmed that he’s joined the senior panel.
2. Tomas O’Leary
The former Munster player captained Cork to win the 2001 All-Ireland minor title.
3. Eric Miller
The former Irish international retired in January 2006, but came back to play club GAA for Ballyboden St Enda’s and a challenge game for Dublin.
4. Shane Horgan
The ex-Leinster winger played minor football for Meath.

The Ulster star played minor football for Monaghan and with his club Emyvale.

The retired fullback was a Kildare minor footballer.

The Leinster forward played minor football for Limerick in 2004 and won a county senior football medal with Monaleen in 2005.

The Connacht star played at minor level for Roscommon.
