Fine Gael has been throwing serious shade at Gerry Adams on Twitter

Warning: It involves a book that may cause some readers to shudder.

FINE GAEL HAS again attacked Gerry Adams’ maths skills, poking fun at the Sinn Féin leader on Twitter.

A post on the Fine Gael’s Twitter page promoted the fact that the Taoiseach was taking part in a Q&A session with new party members yesterday.

Sinn Féin later asked if Enda Kenny answered any questions or just kept “waffling until he ran out of time à la Leaders Questions?”

Sinn Féin: 1; Fine Gael: 0.

However, the senior Government party was quick to take the opportunity to poke fun at Gerry Adams’ maths skills:

On Monday night, Adams made a bit of a gaffe on Claire Byrne Live. During a debate with Tánaiste Joan Burton, he said scrapping the property tax would cost about €5 million, rather than €500 million.

Sinn Féin has now responded, claiming Kenny could do with brushing up on his own numbers skills:

Last week, Adams told fellow deputies in the Dáil: “I’m not great at maths.”

A statement quickly seized on by political opponents:

Can’t we all just get along?
