Gunni Nelson set for UFC London co-main event on St Patrick's weekend

The ninth-ranked welterweight meets veteran Alan Jouban at The O2 Arena next month.

GUNNAR NELSON HAS been pencilled in to make his UFC return at The O2 in London on 18 March.

Ireland’s adopted son, originally from Iceland, has not fought in the octagon since last May, when he won Performance of the Night with a second round submission of Albert Tumenov in Rotterdam.

But it has been confirmed this morning that the SBG welterweight (15-2-1 in MMA), ranked ninth in the division, will take on 35-year-old American Alan “Brahma” Jouban (15-4 in MMA) in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night: Manuwa v Anderson on St Patrick’s weekend.
