6 uniquely Irish ways to face the haka this Sunday

Please note: try these and the All Blacks will rip your head off.

YES, MOST OF us agree the haka is one of the most stunning spectacles in sport.

Ireland — fresh from defeat to Australia last weekend — will attempt to beat the All Blacks at Lansdowne Road for the first time ever on Sunday afternoon.

The world champions will be attempting to become the first national side to go a full calendar year with a 100% record. First they’ll do this:

The haka is an ancient ritual that should be respected by opponents of course… but  how can Ireland respond to this incredible challenge?

1. Do the Poznan

If you think it’s a good idea to turn your back on 15 Kiwis doing a war dance.

2. Do this face…

3. Do a parade around the other half of the pitch

4. Do the Nidgey

5. Make an entrance like the Viper

BOD is Black Mamba, New Zealand are Buzz obviously.

6. Do the Willie Anderson like it’s 1989

Ireland still lost, mind…

Any other suggestions?

O’Driscoll: No one will give Ireland a chance, that’s fine by us

Keith Wood: ‘It was one thing wrong, and you can turn that around in an afternoon’
