VIDEO: No look baskets and rookie dunks in the Golden State

The Warriors were making basketball look easy in Oakland last night.

THE GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS are two games ahead of .500 and have a rookie in the ranks that loves a slam dunk – things are looking up in Oakland.

Goldon State defeated the Minnesota [aye] Timberwolves 96-95 in California last night that there were plenty of moments to prise the home support from their seats.

The tomfoolery started midway through the second quarter when David Lee received a pass in the key but found his path blocked the two T-wolves.

Lee simply trotted in the direction of his own basket and lobbed up a shot that was more ‘If you have the time Mary and could be bothered’ than ‘Hail Mary’.

The fun was not over as the quarter wound down.

Rookie forward Harrison Barnes launched an almighty aerial assault on Nikola Petkovic and slammed home an emphatic dunk.

The former North Carolina college basketball star took it to the bulky Montenegrin and whoever else that wanted to get in his way.

Barnes finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds while Klay Thompson scored a season-high 24 points for the victors.

The rookie declared, post-match, that the dunk was ‘top by far’ in his fledgling basketball career.
