Heineken Cup: Bent and Goodman added to Leinster squad

The Kiwi duo have replaced Luke McGrath and Tom Sexton in the European champions’ list of registered players.

LEINSTER HAVE ADDED New Zealand pair Michael Bent and Andrew Goodman to their squad register for ERC competition.

The inclusions come at the expense of hooker Tom Sexton and 19-year-old scrum half Luke McGrath.

Bent, who made an immediate impact for Ireland in the November Tests, and Goodman were not included in the initial 2012/3 squad as they finished up the provincial season in New Zealand.

Connacht have added academy lock Danny Qualter to their squad in place of Mark McCrea and, yesterday, Munster announced that number eight James Coughlan would take the place of centre Ivan Dineen.

Leinster are not alone in adding imports from New Zealand in time for rounds three and four of the European competition.

Glasgow Warriors have de-registered Angus MacDonald for the former Crusaders back Sean Maitland, the Ospreys replaced injured prop Aaron Jarvis with Campbell Johnstone and Rudi Wolf is back for a second stint with Toulon as Stephane Munoz is the man to make way from the 38-man squad.
