Gardaí seize €90,000 worth of heroin in Dublin

Two men were also arrested in the Dublin area.

GARDAÍ IN DUBLIN have seized a large amount of heroin in Dublin today.

Officers from the Kevin Street Drug Unit and the South Central Task Force conducted a planned search of a residence at Oliver Bond House early this morning. During the search heroin with an estimated street value of €90,000 was seized.

A man in his late 20s was arrested at the scene and is being held at Kevin Street Garda Station.

In a follow up search at a second residence in Oliver Bond House, cannabis with an estimated street value of €5,000 was seized and a second man in his 30s was arrested.

He has since been released without charge and a file is being sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
