Waterford SHC quarter-finals

Mount Sion sauntered to an emphatic 2-22 to 1-7 win over Tallow and they will now face Passage in the semi-finals.

Passage shaded a fine match with Ballyduff as they eventually won a good game by 1-19 to 0-17.

Abbeyside struck three goals during their comprehensive 3-16 to 0-6 victory over Fourmilewater and now face Ballygunner at the penultimate stage.

The Waterford SHC semi-finals will take place at Walsh Park on Sunday September 29th.

Limerick SHC semi-finals

There will be new county champions in Limerick after holders Kilmallock were beaten 2-13 to 2-12 by Na Piarsaigh.

In the first game Adare, beaten finalists last year, came from behind to defeat Doon 2-17 to 2-15 in an action packed encounter.

Offaly SHC semi-finals

Beaten All Ireland finalists Kilcormac/Killoughey defeated Seir Kieran by 1-19 to 2-10.

Kilcormac/Killoughey will face Birr in the county decider after they beat St Rynagh’s by 0-16 to 1-7.

Laois SHC semi-finals

Borris Kilcotton are through to the Laois final by virtue of their 1-16 to 0-11 win over Clough Ballacolla.

Camross overcame Portlaoise 1-14 to 1-11 in the second semi-final and will now face Borris Kilcotton in the Laois showpiece.

Tipperary SHC quarter-finals

Borris Ileigh had the craft to cruise to a convincing 2-16 to 1-11 victory over Eire Og Annacarty at the Ragg.

Eire Og Annacarty had hurled well in the opening period, but a couple of Borris Ileigh goals kept them in the hunt before they took charge in the closing stages.

Clonoutly Rossmore and Kildangan will have to replay their Tipperary SHC quarter final following a dramatic 1-11 to 0-14 draw at The Ragg.

In a tight game Kildangan staged a determined second half fight back as they had trailed by 1-6 to 0-4 at the interval.

Kildangan, though, were much improved after the restart as they narrowly trimmed the deficit down before forcing a replay.

Yesterday Nenagh Eire Og and Loughmore Castleiney grabbed wins in their quarter final fixtures at Templemore.
