Baby-faced Iain Henderson now has a great big bushy beard!

We needed some good news today, and here it is.

WE WORRY ABOUT players who have to spend a long time on the sidelines, rehabbing injury with no competitive games to vent their frustrations.

Fortunately, we had no reason to be concerned about Iain Henderson as the Ulster lock has clearly been putting his time out with a hip injury to good use.

Just look at that beard!

In case you can’t quite see the 22-year-old behemoth you know and love under all that fuzz, here’s what he looked like this time last year.

Irish rugby needed this. We just can’t rely on Gordon D’Arcy’s face furniture from one week to another and then John Muldoon broke our hairy hearts by starting 2015 by exposing his chin to the world.

Beard aside, there was more great news about Henderson today as the Belfast Newsletter reported that he has made a return to full training with the Ulster squad.
