THE NUMBERS HAVE always been mind-boggling.
But they’ve got even more out of hand in the aftermath of Iceland’s remarkable Euro 2016 victory over England on Monday night.
It’s been revealed that 99.8% of the country’s TV viewers were tuned into the game while a tiny minority were watching something else at the time.
With Iceland’s population close to 325,000, it’s thought that 8% of the entire country (about 27,000) are in France to support the team.
And, during games, 0.0034% of Iceland is actually on the pitch.
Maybe on Sunday, the country can get 100% of viewers watching the quarter-final clash with France in Saint-Denis.
