JOSE MOURINHO WAS in typically defiant form after seeing his side lose 3-1 to Southampton at Stamford Bridge tonight.

Speaking in the post-match interview with Sky, the Chelsea boss gave a seven-minute answer to one question, saying: “If the club wants to sack me, they can sack me.”

Mourinho also lamented the referee’s failure to award his side a penalty after Radamel Falcao was seemingly brought down in the box by Saints goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg and claimed officials were afraid to award decisions in the team’s favour.

He added that it was a “crucial moment in the history of this club because if the club sacks me, they sack the best manager this club have”.
