Man dropped his iPhone into the sea and it recorded what happened

Close one.

GREGORY PAPADIN WAS on holiday in Spain with his brother when his phone ended up taking an unexpected swim.

Gregory’s brother tried to throw his iPhone to him as he floated in the water but, predictably, missed – and the phone went under water.

The phone had been recording a video at the time and, thanks to its waterproof case, managed to keep on recording, even as it sank to the seabed.

“The underwater pressure was too much for both my brother and I to swim and get it, but the owner of the boat we rented was able to reduce the pressure using  a special breathing method meant for diving,” Gregory said.

“He was able to retrieve it, and my phone managed to survive the whole ordeal”.

The phone managed to stay face up as it sank, so viewers can see the sunlight filtering down through the water, fish swimming by, and the face of the captain as he finds the phone.
