Ward replaces Walters in the Ireland team to face Belgium at Euro 2016

Martin O’Neill has made just one change for this afternoon’s Group E game.

IRELAND HAVE MADE just one change to their team for the Euro 2016 Group E fixture with Belgium (2pm Irish time).

With Jon Walters out injured, Martin O’Neill has opted to bring in Stephen Ward at left full-back, which will allow Robbie Brady to play in midfield.

Meanwhile, the Belgians have made three switches to their starting XI after losing out to Italy on Matchday 1.

Laurent Ciman, Marouane Fellaini and Radja Nainggolan drop to the bench with Thomas Meunier, Mousa Dembele and Yannick Carrasco all coming in.

IRELAND: Randolph; Coleman, O’Shea, Clark, Ward; Whelan, McCarthy, Brady, Hoolahan, Hendrick; Long.

BELGIUM: Courtois; Meunier, Alderweireld, Vermaelen, Vertonghen; Witsel, Dembele, De Bruyne, Hazard, Carrasco; R Lukaku.
