THE SCHEDULE IS out for next year’s European Hockey Championships in Antwerp, with both the Ireland men and women’s sides learning their respective paths.
Graham Shaw’s historic World Cup silver medalists have again been drawn with England, the hosts of their recent hugely successful tournament.
Although they were narrowly defeated by them in their pool at London 2018, the Green Army went on to record phenomenal results en route to the final.
They face England first at next year’s Europeans, kicking off their campaign on Sunday, 18 August before facing Belarus and Germany later in the week.
The men meanwhile face the Netherlands first on Saturday, 17 August 2019 and they also go head-to-head with a neighbour in Scotland as well as Germany.
Dutchman Alexander Cox recently took over at the Irish helm and they’re preparing for the World Cup in India later this year.
