Irish international Foley signs four-year deal with Wolves

The player singles out the positive atmosphere in the dressing room at the club as one of the main reasons for his decision.

IRISH FULL-BACK Kevin Foley has committed to another four years with Wolves, signing a deal that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2015.

The player, who has made 161 appearances for Wolves, joins Richard Stearman and captain Karl Henry in signing long-term deals with the club.

Foley paid tribute to the Wolves backroom staff and emphasised the club’s fantastic team spirit as one of the reasons why he signed the contract, adding: “It’s a team game and nobody ever feels left out even if they are not playing.”

Wolves manager Mick McCarthy added that he was “delighted” with Foley’s decision, saying:

“He can always be relied upon for the consistent levels of his performances, and it’s great to have another key member of our squad commit his long term future to the Club.”

Foley has won eight caps for Ireland, making his debut in a friendly against Nigeria in 2009 and also playing in their recent victory over Italy.
