WE GOT A huge response to Monday’s piece which looked at ’17 of the cruellest moments in Irish sporting history’ in the aftermath of the All Blacks last-gasp victory over Ireland last Sunday.

And it seems that we omitted some Irish sporting moments that have caused our readers serious heartbreak.

SOCCER

1. Gaizka Mendieta’s intervention in that match in Suwon ten years ago was mentioned
