Irish sports stars unite to highlight suicide awareness

Fraggie Murphy, Donal Og Cusack and Graham Canty will be among the stars taking part in a charity soccer match.

A CELEBRITY SOCCER match will take place this Saturday at 2pm in Turners Cross Stadium, Cork, in aid of Suicide Prevention and Suicide Awareness.

Four Suicide Prevention groups (Mayfield Action on Suicide, SAFE Glanmire, Lets Get Together Midleton and Breaking The Silence Cobh) have organised the match, which will be followed by a Dinner Dance at the Ambassador Hotel at 8pm.

The game will feature a number of well-known sporting figures, including Fraggie Murphy, Donal Og Cusack, Graham Canty and Michael Cussen.

Tickets can be bought for €5, while dinner tickets cost €40, or alternatively, they can be bought at an accommodation rate of €60.
