Poll: Have you registered with Irish Water?

Almost a million people have, the utility says. Do you plan to?

IT’S A SUBJECT that’s rarely been out of the news for more than a few days since the start of last year – and once again, over the last 24 hours, there’s been huge interest in developments relating to Irish Water.

It emerged late last night that the government is considering taking unpaid water bills from people’s wages or social welfare payments if they refuse to pay the contentious charge (it would still require at least one visit to court however – click here for the full details).

Latest figures from the beleaguered utility suggest almost a million people have registered with Irish Water – some 66% of the customer base.

This evening we’re asking – have you signed up? Do you plan to?

Poll Results:

No - and I'm not planning to. (13499)
I have. (6421)
Undecided. (1024)
No - put I plan to. (860)
