Irishman dies in Croatia

Local media is reporting he drowned.

AN IRISHMAN HAS died in Croatia, the Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed.

Local media is reporting that a body was pulled from the harbour in Split, the country’s second-largest city, at around 9.45am today.

The department confirmed it is working with the Irish embassy in Zagreb to provide consular assistance to the man’s family.
