THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND’S Euro 2012 squad will spend their final week of pre-tournament preparations in Montecatini in Italy, the FAI confirmed today.
Giovanni Trapattoni and his panel will leave Ireland for the week-long training camp on 27 May, the day after their penultimate warm-up match against Bosnia in the Aviva Stadium.
Ireland are then expected to fly to Budapest for a friendly against Hungary on 4 June before the team travels on to its tournament base in the Polish city of Gdynia the following day.
Final confirmation of the friendly against Hungary is expected later this week.
Ireland begin their Euro 2012 campaign against Croatia in Gdansk on 10 June.
