LEON BEST HAS signed a four-year deal with Blackburn, the club confirmed this evening.
The fee is understood to be in the region of £3million for the 25-year-old, who leaves Newcastle having scored 10 goals in 42 appearances.
A statement from Blackburn’s official website read:
“Blackburn Rovers have this evening completed the signing of Leon Best from Newcastle United.
“The 25-year-old striker makes the move from the North East to the North West for a fee of more than £3m, signing a four-year deal.”
Best also has seven Ireland caps, but was overlooked for Giovanni Trapattoni’s Euro 2012 squad, following a season for his club that was hampered by injuries.
