TEEN JOCKEY SENSATION Jack Kennedy pulled off one of the most remarkable recoveries you’re likely to see before riding Robin Des Mana to victory in the beginner’s chase in Clonmel.
During the first lap of the two-mile chase, the 18-year-old Dingle man was almost thrown off his saddle but miraculously hung on and repositioned himself to claim the unlikeliest of victories on the Gordon Elliott-trained gelding.
Robin des Mana was a 7-2 chance for the Clonmel Racecourse Supporters Club and despite losing his position, would eventually pip 50-1 shot Kiera Royale by half a length.
The racing community marveled at Kennedy’s gravity-defying recovery.
