'Arry's Transfer Window: Balotelli to Juve? Schneiderlin to United?

Will Mario be put out of his Anfield misery this month?

THE JANUARY TRANSFER window is wide open, and who better to guide us through the latest wheelin’ and dealin’s than ‘Arry himself.

Just don’t use the words wheelin’ or dealin’, alright?

Bon Appetit: It seems like the an everlasting transfer saga but Manchester City and Swansea have agreed a £25m deal for Wilfried Bony.

Mar-riage made in Hell: The general consensus is that Mario Balotelli will leave Liverpool sooner rather than later. Question is: where will he go? Latest rumours are linking him with a transfer to Juventus after his former boss Max Allegri admitted his admiration for the striker.

A great Dane: A bit lower down the totem pole but at least this is confirmed. Kevin Foley has joined Danish outfit FC Copenhagen after getting out of his Wolves contract early.

Double deal: Should Mario get the flick from Anfield, any money recouped will go towards attempting to seduce Napoli’s Gonzalo Higuain while Brendan Rodgers also wants Argentine goalkeeper Sergio Romero.

Swap shop: An interesting proposal from the Sunderland Echo who claim Gus Poyet’s team and MLS side Toronto FC are in talks over a possible swap deal involving Jermain Defoe and Jozy Altidore.

Papiss Don’t Preach: Papiss Cisse is wanted by Swansea as a replacement for Wilfried Bony. The Senegalese striker has 18 months left on his current Newcastle contract.

Win could lose: West Ham defender Winston Reid looked likely to sign for Arsenal this month but that move could now be in the balance as the Gunners look elsewhere.

Long-shot: After bossing proceedings at Old Trafford yesterday, Morgan Schneiderlin has emerged as a transfer target for Manchester United but the club doesn’t need new midfielders right now. The long-term strategy is to find a new centre-back and a right-sided defender that can play as a full-back or wing-back. However, the Frenchman is probably on the radar of a number of high-profile teams given his consistency over the last couple of seasons.
