THE WIFE OF world number two golfer Jason Day has been released from a Cleveland hospital suffering concussion symptoms after she was involved in a courtside collision with Cavs star LeBron James.
Ellie Day was taken to hospital on a stretcher when James lost his footing and landed directly on top of the mother of two during Thursday’s 104-100 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
James apologised straight after the game, while Ellie likened the collision to being hit by a truck on Friday after the Days released a statement via agent Bud Martin.
“She is resting comfortably and appreciates all of those who have reached out and are concerned about her,” the Days said in a statement.
“She wants to send a special thanks to her doctors, the emergency medical staff and the entire Cleveland Cavaliers organisation who helped her through this ideal.
“Finally, no hard feelings towards LeBron. He was just doing his job. Go Cavs.”
