JIMMY FLOYD HASSELBAINK is inching ever closer to being appointed manager of Queens Park Rangers.
The 43-year-old has been in charge at League One side Burton Albion since November last year, where he won promotion in his first campaign with the club. Under Hasselbaink, the side were also crowned champions.
This term, things have gone superbly well and they currently lead the table by two points.
The ex-Dutch international, who began his coaching career with Royal Antwerp in Belgium, is understood to have begun negotiations with QPR, who sacked Chris Ramsey a month ago.
Since then, Neil Warnock has been in interim charge.
Hasselbaink was an explosive player, scoring 127 Premier League goals in 288 appearances for Leeds, Chelsea, Middlesbrough and Charlton and was a two-time Golden Boot winner in 1999 and 2001.
