Juego Bonito: the best bits (and the worst) from last night's Copa America action

Find out why Argentina were booed off the pitch after last night’s game against Colombia.

Group A: Argentina 0-0 Colombia

How it happened: Hosts Argentina were booed off the pitch after they struggled to a 0-0 draw against Colombia in Santa Fe last night.

Coming off the back of a 1-0 win against Costa Rica, Colombia created the better of the chances in the opening period and should have taken the lead through Dayro Moreno on 26 minutes.

Gustavo Ramos was bundled over in the penalty area by Nicolas Burdisso and, when the ball fell to Moreno with an unguarded goal at his mercy, the striker could only fire into the side-netting.

That was to be Colombia’s best chance of the game, though Argentinian shot-stopper Sergio Romero had to be alert to deny Los Cafetoros’ strike force, led by Radamel Falcao, on a number of occasions.

Lionel Messi was the architect of the hosts’ best opportunity, releasing Ezequiel Lavezzi with a clever through-ball only to see the striker denied by Luis Martinez.

Key player: Argentinian goalkeeper Sergio Romero. The 24-year-old was the only thing standing between Argentina and a disastrous defeat, keeping his side in the game with a string of crucial one-on-one saves.

Turning point: Dayro Moreno’s miss. Had he scored in the 26th minute, Sergio Batista’s side would have been forced to show a little bit more adventure and guile to get themselves back into the game.

What it means: Colombia top Group A with four points from their opening two games. A win for either Bolivia or Costa Rica tonight would leave Argentina needing a win from their final group game in order to progress to the knockout stages.

Next up: Bolivia take on Costa Rica in tonight’s only game. Kick-off in Jujuy’s Estadio 23 de Agosto is at 23:15 BST.
