Keogh and Clifford earn late Ireland call-ups

The duo come in for Aiden McGeady and Keith Fahey, who have been ruled out of the Greece friendly.

ANDY KEOGH AND Conor Clifford have been called up to the Ireland squad for Wednesday’s friendly with Greece in the Aviva Stadium.

The duo come in for Aiden McGeady (ankle) and Keith Fahey (flu), who have both had to pull out through injury.

There also slight doubts surrounding the fitness of Stephen Ward, Darren O’Dea and John O’Shea, but manager Giovanni Trapattoni indicated the trio should be ready in time for the game.

However, Shane Duffy and Damien Delaney are on the standby list, and will likely come into the squad should any of these injuries worsen over the next 24 hours.
