Former Kerry star's €10k treble now hangs on Sunday's All-Ireland final

David Culloty will have an added interest when the Dubs take on Kerry.

A FORMER KERRY minor and U21 football star is hoping his native county can do the business on Sunday as doing so will net him a tasty sum of €10,000.

David Culloty, from Tralee, made an accumulator bet at the start of the year that had Ardfert to win the All-Ireland intermediate club championship, the Patriots to win the Superbowl and Kerry to win the Sam Maguire.

Obviously feeling confident, the 29 year-old put down €100 on it, with the latter priced at a very generous 7/2 with Paddy Power.

The Patriots were even longer odds at 4/1 while north Kerry club Ardfert were 10/3.

The latter had no trouble seeing off St. Croan’s of Roscommon in mid-February but the Patriots were pushed closer, though still prevailed 28-24 against the Seahawks.

Sunday might be the closest of the lot, but all the Na Gaeil clubman needs for the payout is Kerry to retain their crown and he’s ten grand better off.

We wish the man luck.
