Kevin Ryan resigns as Carlow hurling manager

The Waterford man’s exit means the board are now in search of two managers after Luke Dempsey left the footballers last month.

IT HAS EMERGED that Carlow hurling manager Kevin Ryan has stepped down via mutual consent with Carlow county board.

The Waterford native leaves the post after four years in charge of the men in red yellow and green.

His departure means the board are now in search of two managers after Luke Dempsey left the footballers last month. Ryan lead the team to Christy Ring success and promotion from division 2A this year with other highlights including the defeat of Wexford in the league and victory over Laois in the All Ireland qualifiers last year.

Ryan has parted company with Carlow on good terms but the Banisteoir was unavailable for comment at the time the news was released.
