One of the injured was shot while the other was hurt by broken glass.

Updated 8.30 pm

TWO PEOPLE WERE injured after a gun attack on Barcelona’s main street, often frequented by tourists.

The El Pais newspaper reports that the shooting took place at an intersection on the La Rambla thoroughfare.

The attacker was wearing a hood and fled the scene after the attack. A manhunt to find the attacker is still ongoing.

One person was struck by bullets while the other was hurt by broken glass as they tried to flee the shooter, a regional police spokeswoman said.

El Pais reports that the attacker fired two shots at two men standing on the path outside the Silken Hotel on the busy street. One theory being explored is that the shooting is part of a feud.

At first it was reported by local media that two attackers were being hunted for by police but it is now belived that just one gunman was involved in the shooting.
