VIDEO: Swing low sweet modesty as English national anthem gets revealing

Laura Wright puts the ‘chant’ in chanteuse.

LAURA WRIGHT WAS named as England’s official anthem singer for rugby matches last November but her coming out, of sorts, stunned all in Twickenham yesterday.

The 22-year-old singer’s appearances in the pre-match festivities have coincided with home wins over New Zealand and Scotland so she could arguably claim to be a good luck charm.

She certainly got the home crowd riled up before England’s home clash with France yesterday as her billowy, white dress wafted in a breeze to reveal an awful lot of leg.

BBC, who was broadcasting the match, cut away from the soprano and rugby fans were forced to behold the spiky-haired passion of English captain Chris Robshaw.

As for the match itself, England beat France 23-13 to stay on track for the Six Nations and Grand Slam.
