Another strong round from Leona Maguire at the Women's Open in Scotland

The Cavan native shot a round of 70 to leave her four under par for the tournament.

IRELAND’S LEONA MAGUIRE is seven shots off the lead at the turn after another solid round at the Women’s British Open at Kingsbarns in Scotland.

The Cavan native conjured a one under round of 71 to leave her at four under for the tournament heading into the weekend.

The 22-year-old dropped a shot at the first but added two birdies later on the front nine to leave her out in 35.

She birdied again at the 13th but – just like her opening round – dropped a shot at 16 to leave her in a share of 21st place.

In-Kyung Kim of South Korea leads on 11 under, followed by Georgia Hall and Lexi Thompson on nine under.
