JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS ROOKIE running back Leonard Fournette was uninjured in a “minor” car accident on Tuesday, the team confirmed.
Fournette, who turns 23 Thursday, was reportedly southbound on Interstate 295 in Jacksonville when he was involved in the three-car crash.
Fournette was not at fault in an accident in which no one was injured.
“Leonard is okay and was able to drive home,” the Jaguars’ senior manager of public relations, Tad Dickman, said via Twitter. “Appreciate everyone that has reached out to check on him.”
The local media reported that Fournette signed the crushed bumper of his 2017 Maybach and gave it to a first responder as a souvenir after he was rear-ended on the motorway.
He then posed for pictures with those helping to clear the crash, as well as a young boy who also emerged unharmed from the collision.
Special Thanks to @Jaguars Leonard @_fournette for being a true professional. He took the time to take a photo with boy involved in crash and to thank our trooper for his service. We are glad to hear of no injuries in this crash. pic.twitter.com/ICQSKL9tAw

On Sunday, in the Jags’ 45-42 AFC divisional playoff victory over Pittsburgh Steelers, Fournette rushed for 166 yards and three touchdowns on 46 carries – this despite sustaining an ankle injury that sidelined him briefly in the second quarter.
