The stores will open in Galway, Cork and Donegal.

OVER FIFTY JOBS have been created as discounter Lidl gets set to open three new stores.

The announcement will see Lidl open its 140th Irish store and brings its total number of employees to over 3,400.

The three new stores in Doughiska, Cork City Centre and Letterkenny will open on Thursday, February 27.

Over fifty staff have been recruited from the localities to service the three new stores.

The stores will all hold special offers on opening day.

Aoife Clarke, Head of Communications at Lidl said the company is excited about the openings.

“The excitement is building as we prepare to open our three new stores in Galway, Cork and Donegal. These new openings bring to 140 the number of Lidl stores in Ireland and reinforces our ongoing commitment to offering customers across Ireland top quality products at market-leading prices every day.

“We look forward to welcoming our new customers in store”.
