It’s hard to remember a Munster final that has been as eagerly anticipated as this one. It’s a hugely novel pairing. The first since 1999 that does not feature Tipperary or Waterford and the first between Cork and Limerick in 1992.

Cork are going for their first Munster senior title since 2007 while Limerick are chasing their first Munster senior title since 1996.

It promises to be a cracker here in the Gaelic Grounds. We can’t wait for it and we’re just moments away from throw-in.

That score arrived after a superb break out of defence by Christopher Joyce and he placed the ball methodically into the path of Harnedy.

Good start to the game by Harnedy at full-forward for Cork. He made his championship debut in the semi-final win last month against Clare and won the man-of-the-match award in that game.

Anthony Nash takes a quick puck out that is plucked from the air brilliantly by Patrick Cronin. That aerial strength is what he brings to the Cork attack.
