The match is underway here, great atmosphere at a packed Semple Stadium.

Limerick 0-1 Wexford 0-0: 2 mins - Shane Dowling does what he does best for Limerick as he slots over a free after being fouled.

Limerick 0-2 Wexford 0-0: 4 mins – Limerick’s lead is doubled as James Ryan splits the posts from halfway after being fed by Seamus Hickey.

Limerick put the ball in the net but it won’t count. Graeme Mulcahy whipped home but David Breen had earlier fouled the ball.

Limerick 0-2 Wexford 0-1: 5 mins – Wexford on the mark as Jack Guiney supplies a point.

Limerick 0-3 Wexford 0-2: 6 mins – Draw game thanks to Podge Doran notching for Wexford before David Breen restores Limerick’s lead.

Hearing reports of traffic tailbacks coming in to Thurles and we expect there’ll be plenty latecomers arriving to this game.

Limerick 0-4 Wexford 0-3: 8 mins – Liam Og McGovern has been one of the breakthrough stars for Wexford this year and he just showed a neat turn of pace on the left wing before pointing. From the puck out Declan Hannon rises high to fetch the ball and is then fouled when he lands. Dowling bangs over the free.

Correction there it was Diarmuid O’Keeffe who landed that earlier Wexford point, not McGovern.

Limerick 0-6 Wexford 0-3: 12 mins – Paul Browne from play and Dowling from a free extend Limerick’s lead.

Limerick 0-7 Wexford 0-3: 14 mins – Now Dowling does the business from play as he lofts over a point after bounding on to a breaking ball.

Wexford fans think they’ve hit the net but Podge Doran’s low shot whistles past the post and the despairing dive of Nicky Quaid.

Limerick 0-8 Wexford 0-3: 16 mins – Limerick’s forwards are on song with Graeme Mulcahy the latest to point.

One man who’s not in action for Limerick today, their captain Donal O’Grady.

James Crombie / INPHO James Crombie / INPHO / INPHO

Nightmare start on the frees for Paul Morris, he’s just missed his second of the day.

Limerick 0-9 Wexford 0-3: 20 mins – Now Declan Hannon points and Limerick are six clear.

Limerick 0-9 Wexford 0-4: 20 mins – Some respite for Wexford as O’Keeffe lands his second point of the day.

Both teams can be accused of being wasteful in front of goal, seven wides for Limerick so far while Wexford have amassed six.

Limerick 0-10 Wexford 0-4: 23 mins – It looks like Dowling was fouled by the Wexford defence but advantage was played and he got his shot away to nab a point.

Limerick 0-10 Wexford 0-5: 24 mins – Paul Morris on the mark for Wexford.

James Crombie / INPHO James Crombie / INPHO / INPHO

Goal by David Breen for Limerick!

Limerick 0-13 Wexford 0-5: 26 mins – Limerick are really impressing here as James Ryan, Wayne McNamara and Dowling all grab points in quick succession.

Limerick 1-14 Wexford 0-5: 29 mins – It’s already looking ominous for Wexford and looking really promising for Limerick. Dowling does brilliantly while on the ground to get a hand pass away which splits the defence for Breen to surge through. He keeps his head and flashes the ball past Mark Fanning. Mulcahy has just added a point and Limerick are cruising.

Limerick 1-15 Wexford 0-5: 31 mins – Hannon arrows over a point for Limerick at one end while McGovern is off target for Wexford at the other.

Limerick 1-15 Wexford 0-6: 33 mins – Guiney has now assumed free taking duties for Wexford and he converts.

Limerick 1-15 Wexford 0-7: 34 mins – Guiney slots a ’65 for Wexford.

Limerick 1-15 Wexford 0-8: 35 mins – Better play from Wexford as Andrew Shore attacks and sets up Conor McDonald for a point.

Half-Time: Limerick 3-15 Wexford 0-8

That surely is that. Limerick grab two goals just before the break from Shane Dowling. The first saw him bat to the net after David Breen’s shot had been blocked by goalkeeper Mark Fanning. Then the second saw him find the net after a run through by Thomas Ryan. Question marks over that second goal as the final touch looked to have gone in off his hand.

Sub: Richie Kehoe on for Wexford for Kenny while Shane Tomkins replaces Redmond. That’s their half-time changes.

Limerick 4-15 Wexford 0-9: 37 mins – Wexford grab the first point of the second-half but then concede their fourth goal of the game as Paul Browne slaloms through from his Limerick midfield berth to rattle the back of the Wexford net.

Limerick 4-15 Wexford 0-10: 39 mins – Podge Doran point for Wexford.

Limerick 4-16 Wexford 0-10: 41 mins – Hannon points for Limerick.

Limerick 4-16 Wexford 0-11: 42 mins – Fine point by Conor McDonald for Wexford.

Subs: Wexford looking for improvements up front as they bring on Rory Jacob and Ian Byrne for Paul Morris and Podge Doran.

James Crombie / INPHO James Crombie / INPHO / INPHO

Sub: Eoin Moore off for Wexford with Harry Kehoe coming on.

Limerick 4-17 Wexford 0-11: 45 mins – Declan Hannon’s form has been one of the major plus points for Limerick today. He’s just barged through and smashed over his fourth point of the day.

Limerick 4-18 Wexford 0-11: 46 mins – Now Thomas Ryan gets in on the scoring act for Limerick.

Subs: Niall Moran and Seanie Tobin enter the fray for Limerick with David Breen and Kevin Downes making way.

Limerick 4-19 Wexford 0-11: 51 mins – Target practice for Limerick now as Mulcahy points. This game is petering to its inevitable conclusion. Limerick can start getting set for an All-Ireland semi-final with Kilkenny on August 10th.

Limerick 4-22 Wexford 0-11: 58 mins – Points by Tobin (2) and Dowling extend Limerick’s lead.

Sub: Stephen Walsh on for Limerick for Richie McCarthy.

Goal for Wexford!

Limerick 4-23 Wexford 1-11: 62 mins – Consolation goal for Wexford from substitute Shane Tomkins but Limerick hit back through a Thomas Ryan point.

Sub: Cathal King on for James Ryan on the Limerick team.

Straight red card for Wexford’s Matthew O’Hanlon for a strike on Shane Dowling as the ball was in the air.

FULL-TIME: Limerick 4-26 Wexford 1-11

Tipperary 0-5 Dublin 0-4: 15 mins – Ex Tipperary and current Dublin player Ryan O’Dwyer points for Dublin against Tipperary. He’s a unique role in this game.
