Lions fans unite: Braveheart, dragon, knight and... a leprechaun

We really must think of a more warrior-like national icon to dress up as.

FOUR BRAVE SUPPORTERS rolled into Canberra Stadium this week to cheer on the Lions against the Brumbies and take the heckles of the home fans.

In a show of solidarity that only truly occurs once every four years, Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales combined to cheer on their favourites players, and a few lads the had previously cursed when supporting their country.

Ben Richardson, who works for Sky Sports pundit Will Greenwood, snapped this picture of four supporters warming up on Aussie beer before the 14-12 defeat to the Brumbies:

The pictures begs the question: Does Ireland not have a more fearsome national character that fans could dress up as rather than a leprechaun? Cú Chulainn perhaps or Mrs Brown?

The four Lions supporters were reportedly last seen remarking that they could have made both of Stuart Hogg’s two missed penalties and hollering lineout advice to Rory Best.
