Nothing much to report so far – it’s 0-0 across the board.

GOAL! QPR 1-0 WOLVES: Bobby Zamora has opened the scoring for his new club.

That last post will do little to cheer up Fulham fans who are still lamenting the big man’s acrimonious exit from the club.

Bad news for Wolves, Arsenal and Ghana fans. Emmanuel Frimpong has been carried off after suffering a seemingly serious knee injury.

Here’s a look at the pitch a few hours prior to Stoke’s game with Sunderland today. And the snow is still coming down thick and fast at the moment.

It’s been a mixed day for QPR’s new strikers – Djibril Cisse has just been sent off against Wolves.

For those wondering, Cisse reacted badly to a challenge from Roger Johnson, grabbing him by the throat in the process – not exactly an auspicious start to life at his new club so.

RED CARD FOR ROBERT HUTH!

That was incredibly harsh – a sign of how tackles are virtually being outlawed in the modern game. Huth misses the ball and slides into his man, but replays prove there was no malice in it, and he barely touched the opposition player. Expect a lot of controversy to emerge from that decision.

Meanwhile, elsewhere, there appears to have been another controversial red card:

It’s half time everywhere in the Premier League now, with a measly one goal to speak of…

Just before the Huth red card, Setanta co-commentator Brian Little mentioned that the game features “two results-orientated managers,” which begs the question: what managers aren’t results-orientated?

This is the first time I’ve liveblogged the Saturday Premier League matches and it appears my online presence has put some sort of hoodoo over strikers, given the lack of goals so far today (in the three o’clocks at least).

The Stoke and Sunderland players emerge from the dressing room with an ostensible air of reluctance, in light of the fact that it’s freezing out there.

The games have now all recommenced…

GOALS FOR WOLVES!

QPR 1-1 WOLVES: Matt Jarvis scores the equaliser, with half-time substitute Kevin Doyle providing the assist with a cross.

Great to hear (from an Ireland fan’s perspective at least) that Doyle is back to doing what he does best.

Brian Little is now theorising that Stoke’s laundry lady may have spooked the referee at half time, prompting him to subsequently book John O’Shea rather harshly. She can be “quite vocal” according to Little.

WEST BROM 1-1 SWANSEA The goals seem to be flying in now.

Marc-Antoine Fortune opens the scoring for the Baggies with a half volley, before Swansea equalise immediately through Gylfi Sigurdsson.

GOAL FOR SWANSEA!

GOAL FOR SUNDERLAND!

Are you watching Trapattoni? James McClean with a typical driving run forward. The winger nutmegs Shawcross (who won’t be watching Match of the Day tonight) before coolly slotting the ball past Sorensen with his weaker right foot.

Meanwhile, Danny Graham has put Swansea 2-1 ahead.

Based on results this year, Sunderland are top of the league, and the Martin O’Neill revolution looks likely to continue today. Most underrated manager in the Premier League perhaps?

GOAL FOR NORWICH!

GOAL FOR WOLVES!

Kevin Doyle’s rejuvention continues as he puts Wolves ahead.

It’s been a good day for Irish players, seemingly.

Elsewhere, Andrew Surman has put Norwich in front.

Everton gained a surprise victory at Man City in the week, but perhaps even more surprisingly, they’re struggling at Wigan. Phil Neville has just put them behind with an own goal.

GOAL FOR EVERTON!

Everton produce an immediate response, with Victor Anichebe leveling things up.

Another promising Irish player, David Meyler – making his first start of the season – has just been replaced. He can be more than satisfied with his afternoon’s work.

GOAL FOR NORWICH!

Anthony Pilkington has scored for Norwich, as the would-be Ireland internationals continue to impress.

With news of Phil Neville’s own goal, there’s an excuse to revisit this similarly embarrassing moment involving his brother:

Some shocking news today. We’ll have more info as details emerge…

It’s now full time everywhere.

Okay, that’s it from me. I’ll be back shortly to liveblog Kildare v Tyrone. Thanks for reading.
