Hello and welcome along to this afternoon’s GAA liveblog on what is a massive day of action in the Allianz football league with promotion and relegation issues to be decided.

Before we start looking ahead to today’s action, a quick recap on what happened in the world of GAA yesterday.

  • A big success for Dublin and a big setback for Limerick last night in the Division 1B hurling league final. Joey Boland’s 68th minute point proved the matchwinner for Anthony Daly’s side as they triumphed by 1-16 to 1-15. Dublin have secured Division 1A hurling for next year and a semi-final spot against Tipperary in this year’s league while Limerick must ply their trade in Division 1B once more. Here’s how it unfolded.
  • Galway will meet Kildare in the Cabury’s All-Ireland U21 semi-final after they were crowned champions in Connacht yesterday with a 1-17 to 2-11 win over Roscommon. The match went to extra-time in Dr Hyde Park and here’s how the Tribesmen triumphed.
  • Finally Dungarvan Colleges and St Fergal’s (Rathdowney) are celebrating after their All-Ireland colleges triumphs in Semple Stadium. Read details of their successes here.

So what’s on the agenda this afternoon then?

Here’s what’s in store in Division 1 of the football league.

You’ll notice that there is one game omitted in Division 4 and that’s because Leitrim and London commenced at 1pm in Ruislip. Neither side can claim promotion and they’re just playing for pride but it’s Leitrim who currently lead the way 1-11 to 1-7. Conor Beirne scored Leitrim’s goal after half-time which has propelled them into the lead.

The lowdown on how every county stands ahead of today’s final round of league games is here.

To summaries what’s at stake.

  • Division 1 – There is one league semi-final spot available with Cork best placed right now to join Dublin, Kildare and Tyrone. In the relegation fight, Down, Kerry, Donegal and Mayo are all battling the drop.
  • Division 2 - Westmeath are promoted and Derry only need a point to join them. Galway and Laois both have outside chances of promotion. Longford are already relegated while Armagh, Wexford and Laois are battling to avoid the drop.
