Blackburn Rovers 4-2 Swansea

Manchester City 5-1 Norwich

QPR 1-1 West Brom

Tottenham 3-0 Bolton

Wigan 0-4 Arsenal

Aston Villa v Manchester United (5.30pm)

Today’s key questions

Aston Villa v Manchester United

- Can Manchester United score? They always score… once a game. It’s two months since United have scored twice in a match – the 2-0 win over Norwich on 1 October. But today there at least up against a side who have been nowhere near as tight as you would expect from an Alec McLeish defence.

Blackburn Rovers v Swansea

- Is Steve Kean’s job actually justifiable if he loses at home against a promoted side today?

- What will give? Blackburn haven’t kept a clean sheet this season? Swansea haven’t exactly scored many?

- Alternatively, can Swansea’s superb backline keep out Blackburn’s admittedly decent attack. Vorm has kept more clean sheets than any other keeper in the Premier League this season.

Manchester City v Norwich

- are we beginning to see a bit of a City slump? Since the incredible 6-1 win over United, they’ve struggled in Europe and performances have dropped off. Even if results haven’t. Can an awkward Norwich side capitalise…

- … or is this exactly the type of fixture for City to get back among the goals in a big way?

QPR v West Brom

- who can escape the mid-table mire? Or is a draw the likeliest result for two of the most inconsistent teams in the division?

Tottenham v Bolton

- Can Tottenham keep up this fine run of form or are they “due” a drop-off?

- Can Adebayor do the same?

Wigan v Arsenal

- How many goals will we see today? In a match between two of the most open teams i the Premier League, will this be high-scoring?

- Can Robin van Persie get on the scoresheet (more than once) after last week’s unusual blank.

- Or will last week’s results affect the form of these teams. Wigan are surely full of confidence after that last-minute win over Sunderland, while Arsenal might have had theirs dented.

Nearly ready to go at the grounds around the Premier League

There’s a minute’s applause ahead of all of the Premier League matches as the tributes for the former Wales boss continue. Some emotional scenes at Elland Road earlier too, where the player’s wife was in attendance.

Swansea have started well at Ewood Park – that ain’t good news for Steve Kean.

Gary Cahill sends a header just wide at Spurs – a decent chance for Bolton. Former League of Ireland Conor Sammon has also been causing problems for Arsenal in the colours of Wigan.

When you don’t score though… Gareth Bale has just put Tottenham in front.

Bale has flicked an effort in beyond Jaaskelainen after Bolton failed to deal with a corner.

The ‘Kean Out’ chants have already started at Blackburn. It’s all Swansea at the moment but can the Swans score? It’s been tough for them to find goals for far this term.

Ruddy saves an effort from Sergio Aguero up in Manchester. Norwich have some task ahead of them today, but have soon glimpses of promise already.

RED CARD for Gary Cahill. Referee Stuart Attwell has sent the Bolton off for a tackle 45 yards from goal as he deemed Scott Parker was in a goal scoring position.

GOAL! Heidar Helguson heads QPR in front after a lovely pass from Joey Barton. Nothing more than the home side deserve.

GOAL! After all of Swansea’s promise, it’s Rovers that take the lead through Ayegbeni Yakubu.

Gael Givet with the assist at Ewood Park and Yakubu heads straight for his under-fire manager to celebrate.

Chances for either side at White Hart Lane. Jermain Defoe’s effort is saved from eight yards out while Chris Eagles forces another save from Friedel.

GOAL! Arteta has put Arsenal in front.

Mikel Arteta shoots from distance and catches Al Habsi a little out of place.

Shaun Wright-Phillips has the ball in the back of the net for QPR but sees it ruled offside.

GOAL! Vermaelen doubles Arsenal’s advantage by heading in unchallenged at the back post. From not having a single effort on target, the Gunners are now well ahead.

GOAL! Norwich held out for just over a half hour before some magical play from Sergio Aguero breaks the deadlock. Well worth getting to see the highlights for this effort. Aguero, seemingly, had nowhere to go before drilling the ball through the smallest of gaps.

GOAL! Blackburn looked a much better side after scoring but Swansea are back in this contest with a headed goal from Leroy Lita. Goals in every Premier League game at this stage.

A quick recap after a very busy spell.

Swansea are back in their Ewood Park clash with Blackburn after starting brightly and conceding unexpectedly.

A moment of magic from Aguero has Man City in front against a very determined Norwich outfit.

QPR should be further in front against West Brom, but had a second goal disallowed for offside.

Jussi Jaaskelainen has kept Bolton in the contest at Tottenham with some tremendous saves.

Arsenal scored two quick goals to edge in front at Wigan.

Another chance for Tottenham. Defoe misses the ball by inches – Bolton living a charmed life after seeing Cahill harshly sent off.

Half time whistles blowing across the grounds now.

GOAL! Yakubu has put Blackburn back in front. The striker heads home at the far post after a drilled ball from Givet.

The breaking news from Chelsea is that Alex and Nicolas Anelka have put in transfer requests…

Vukcevic as opposed to Givet for that assist…

You’d have to expect more goals in the second halves of many of these games judging by how the opening 45 minutes went…

GOAL! Tottenham are now 2-0 up, Aaron Lennon with the goal.

GOAL! John Ruddy will not be watching the highlights of today’s game again this evening. The Norwich keeper allows a Samir Nasri free-kick to bounce and manages to guide the ball into his own net. 2-0 City.

Yakubu thinks he has secured his hat trick for a moment, but his goal is disallowed for offside. The big man has really lead the Rovers’ front line well today

GOAL! Minutes later the big man has his third goal of the afternoon – perhaps Kean will enjoy the remainder of the afternoon!

GOAL! Wigan 0-3 Arsenal

Van Persie shoots, Al-Habsi saves but Gervinho is on hand to strike.

But Van Persie now only goes and misses a sitter. Should have been 4-0 Arsenak.

GOAL!  Tottenham 3-0 Bolton

Modric flicks a corner to the near post, Bale flicks on and Defoe finishes from four yards. Tottenham looking increasingly good, Bolton increasingly poor.

GOAL! Blackburn 3-2 Swansea

Oh Blackburn. Panic now. Their defence just keeps undoing them. Wayne Routledge converts after sub Luke Moore sets him up. Game well and truly on.

GOAL! Manchester City 3-0 Norwich

Yaya Toure fires in an exquisite strike from just inside the box.

Sorry, it was Silva who picked out Toure for that goal. So he’ll get the points… for those playing Fantasy Football.

GOAL! Wigan 0-4 Arsenal

A usual exchange this for Arsenal over the past few weeks: Walcott cuts back for Van Persie to finish. Unselfish from the winger.

GOAL! QPR 1-1 West Brom

That man again, Shane Long. Odemwingie’s strike is deflected to Long after a break, and the Tipperary-man finishes easily.

GOAL! Manchester City 3-1 Norwich

Morison beats Clichy to a cross to head home and keep his scoring form going.

GOAL! Blackburn 4-2 Swansea

And that should make it safe for Blackburn (the game, not Kean’s job). It’s that man Yakubu again, tucking away a penalty after Joe Allen is sent off.

GOAL! Manchester City 4-1 Norwich

Balotelli just shoulders in the ball in nonchalant fashion, having coming on for Aguero. Always him!

FULL-TIME: Wigan 0-4 Arsenal

FULL-TIME: QPR 1-1 West Brom

GOAL! Manchester City 5-1 Norwich

Adam Johnson side-foots home

FULL-TIME: Blackburn 4-2 Swansea

Interestingly, Yakubu has now scored more this season than Torres, Drogba and Anelka… combined

FULL-TIME: Manchester City 5-1 Norwich

That’s it for the moment, then. Both Arsenal and Manchester back to winning ways, and in emphatic fashion. Tottenham keep up their form while Steve Kean keeps the faith… thanks to Yakubu. We’ll be back shortly with parting, a review and, of course, Aston Villa versus Manchester United.
