Here are tonight’s teams…

We’re underway…

Lennon nutmegs Lovren, but Lallana does well to cover for his colleague.

It’s been a very fast start to this game.

Big chance!

Lallana beats the offside trap on the counter-attack and goes through on goal, but Robles gets down well to make the save.

Milner is booked for a late challenge on Baines.

Meanwhile, in tonight’s other Premier League game…

Everton break at pace, and Barkley eventually curls the ball just over.

The Toffees are looking dangerous on the counter-attack.

Great pass from Coutinho to find Lallana.

The England international’s cross is cleared though, with Baines in a good covering position.

Moreno’s cross finds Lallana, who heads the ball on rather than going for goal, and the ball is ultimately cleared easily.

Down the other hand, Mirallas beats Lovren, before slicing his shot well wide.

James McCarthy has just taken out Firmino with a late challenge.

The Ireland international is lucky to escape a booking.

Lukaku threatens to get away from Sakho, but the defender makes a great saving tackle.

Down the other end, John Stones does well to block a Lallana shot.

As I type, a dangerous ball in finds Lallana, who heads inches wide

It’s been a highly entertaining game so far, with barely a moment to draw breath.

Coutinho curls a free-kick just wide.

Liverpool have seven attempts compared with Everton’s two, and the hosts have certainly dominated in terms of territory in this first half.

Firmino beats the offside trap, but again, Robles makes a good save.

Stones is not happy with the linesman, and replays suggest Firmino probably was offside.

Claims for a penalty, as Lovren’s shot hits Barkley’s hand. The referee rightly waves play on, as there was little the England international could do to get out of the way.

Liverpool continue to dominate, but need to make their superiority count.

Barkley tries to dribble past Moreno, but the defender does well to make the tackle.

Everton win their first corner, which ultimately comes to nothing.

Milner is taken out by Lennon as he sprints towards the box.

The Everton winger gets booked as a result.

It actually hasn’t be too bad tempered by Merseyside Derby standards.

LIVERPOOL 1-0 EVERTON (ORIGI 43)

Liverpool break the deadlock, as Origi scores his fifth goal of the season.

The striker climbs above John Stones and powerfully heads Milner’s deep cross into the corner of the net.

LIVERPOOL 2-0 EVERTON (SAKHO 45)

Coutino plays a nice one two before producing an inviting cross.

Sakho is well-positioned to head home powerfully from close range to double Liverpool’s advantage.

HALF-TIME: LIVERPOOL 2-0 EVERTON

So half-time and the scoreline is probably a fair reflection of how the game has panned out.

It’s been a tame performance from Everton. They’ve conceded the majority of the possession and territory, and looked to hit their opponents on the counter-attack.

The Toffees got worse as the half developed. They offered little going forward and eventually wilted under increasing Liverpool pressure, with two quick-fire goals just before half-time giving the Reds a healthy advantage.

The second half has begun…

RED CARD FOR FUNES MORI!

Funes Mori is sent off and it’s totally deserved.

The defender commits an awful challenge, stamping on Origi’s ankle.

The young striker is still down receiving treatment and looks set to go off on a stretcher.

Sturridge will replace Origi, who is stretchered off.

The striker could be out for a considerable period judging by how bad that looked on replays.

Barkley looks frustrated as he’s taken off, with Tom Cleverley replacing him.

It looks a case of damage limitation for Everton from this point on.

LIVERPOOL 3-0 EVERTON (STURRIDGE 61)

Awful pass from Stones straight to Lucas.

The midfielder finds Sturridge, who slots home coolly having just come on.

That was Stones’ last act, as he’s replaced by Pienaar.

With no recognised centre-backs on the pitch now, McCarthy and Besic are the current makeshift defensive partnership.

As I type, Coutinho’s shot deflects wide. Everton look a complete mess right now.

Meanwhile, Liverpool make a change, as Joe Allen comes on for Firmino.

Moreno’s shot is parried by Robles.

It feels like Liverpool players are queuing up to try and score now.

A Moreno shot deflects off Sturridge and goes wide.

Moments later, McCarthy makes a last-ditch block on Allen’s shot.

This game is turning into a humiliation for Everton, who have looked like they’ve given up for this season.

LIVERPOOL 4-0 EVERTON (COUTINHO 76)

Allen plays the ball to Coutinho, who curls it home from the edge of the box.

That’s the Brazilian’s eighth league goal of the season.

Sturridge is cheekily trying to claim that Coutinho goal.

The strike brushed past the England international on its way to goal.

Liverpool have had 30 attempts to Everton’s three, while 13 have been on target compared to 0 for the visitors.

The crowd are cheering every pass now. This must be painful for Everton fans to watch.

Meanwhile, Jordon Ibe replaces James Milner, who has been superb tonight.

Britain Soccer Premier League Liverpool's Divock Origi is carried from the pitch after being tackled by Everton's Ramiro Funes Mori. Jon Super Jon Super

Decent attempt from Moreno. His powerful shot from outside the box flies narrowly over.

This game has effectively become akin to an attack v defence training session.

Sky report that Origi has suffered a “badly sprained ankle”.

That’s certainly not as bad a diagnosis as initially feared.

James Milner has been deservedly named man-of-the-match.

We’re just about to enter into stoppage time.

There will be seven added minutes owing largely to that Origi injury.

Everton and Roberto Martinez won’t be happy with that.

Great through ball from Lallana to find Clyne.

The full-back’s finish is poor though, as he lofts the ball over the bar with just Robles to beat.

Elsewhere tonight, Man United have beaten Palace 2-0.

Sturridge is played through, but he’s adjudged to be offside.

That looked very tight judging by the replays.

FULL-TIME: LIVERPOOL 4-0 EVERTON

Another curling strike from Sturridge is gathered by Robles at the second attempt.

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen such a one-sided half of football.

So that’s it then.

Liverpool secure an emphatic 4-0 win, and the scoreline certainly reflects how dominant the Reds were.

Jurgen Klopp’s side impressively swept aside the Toffees, though they were aided by some awful defending and a brainless challenge from Funes Mori, which saw him rightly sent off.

That’s all from me, thanks for reading and commenting.
