IF YOU’RE STILL wondering what could possibly have convinced French international Loic Remy that relegation-threatened Queen’s Park Rangers were the club for him, here’s your answer.
It wasn’t the money. It wasn’t the chance to work with a top, top, ‘triffic manager in Harry Redknapp.
It was a game of FIFA 12 with club owner Tony Fernandes.
Speaking to the club’s official website, 26-year-old Remy revealed that they had a four-hour chat as Fernandes persuaded him to sign on the dotted line and afterwards, they celebrated by playing computer games together.
“It was a special moment that followed our chat about QPR,” Remy told www.qpr.co.uk.“We just played a game of FIFA – it was good and showed to me what a good person Tony is.
“He showed his human side to me as an owner of the club I wanted to join. It was a special moment for us both.”
The next question is: is Fernandes a PS3 or an XBox man?
